Local singer and music educator Holly Sahmel is excited to be back at the Casa, having previously been featured alongside local jazz musician Joshua Glenn Wilson, as well as Belles & Bows, an all-female a cappella quartet. Holly will be joined by a number of passionately gifted female colleagues and friends to sing, play and pay tribute to some of the most influential female artists of yesteryear, whom continue to inspire and shape the lives of countless artists today.
Ms. Sahmel currently enjoys teaching private voice, as well as piano, through several studios in Central Florida. She holds a B.A. in Voice from the University of South Florida, and stays active as an adjudicator for the Florida Vocal Association’s Solo & Ensemble festivals. Holly has also had the pleasure of working with several Osceola County choir programs as a private teacher, judge and clinician. Recently, she joined Central Florida Community Arts’ professional vocal ensemble, Legacy!, and was a featured soloist in CFCArts’ most recent show, A Night on the Red Carpet. Holly serves as secretary for Central Florida Vocal Arts, and has performed several times with the same organization, in original-concept shows which featured a fusion of musical theatre and opera; moreover, she will return to teach at this year’s CFLVA’s Summer Institutes for aspiring, young performing artists. Seasonally, Holly sings with Belles & Bows, an a cappella quartet, and serves as lead vocalist for Trinity Lutheran Downtown.
